ISLAMABAD: Railways Minster Khawaja Saad Rafique on Sunday said there was no denying the fact that the our people loved the country`s Armed forces and their role in national security was significant.
“However, politicians should be let do politics. No compromise should be made on supremacy of constitution,” he said while speaking at launching ceremony of veteran politician Javed Hashmi`s book ‘Zinda Tarekh’ in Islamabad.
He said there would be good and bad people in the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) ranks, but the democracy should be let run.
“Complete democracy is requisite in Pakistan. Country will become weak if its political parties are weak. Why is it that only the prime minister is always at fault?” he asked.
Saad Rafique said importance of Javed Hashmi could not be denied in politics and his relation with Hashmi could not be broken, whether PML-N or not.
He said a political party should decide to choose their leader. So, the PML-N made Nawaz its president despite the top court’s disqualifying him and the ruling party was proud of its decision, he said.
